Yellow Corn

Usually only available to large distilleries in bulk, premium distillery grains now available in smaller quantities for home distilling or other uses.

Gold Stone Mill offers both whole grain, if you wish to mill it yourself, or a consistent fine grind option if you want to skip the milling and get straight to production.

We source premium yellow corn high in starch and lower in protein. It has been expertly cleaned to reduce dust and dirt, husks, and cobs. Fewer impurities often produces a higher yield in the still -- dirt and chaff don't produce any fermentable sugar, after all.

This item is available for individual sale in 5-lb bags and 50-lb sacks at our trusted partner's site, Moonshine Still Pro.

**Larger volume purchases (200lb+) will result in price breaks, and we'll help arrange freight or pickup. Please contact Gold Stone Mill (hello@goldstonemill.com) to inquire.

Corn traditionally makes up a very large portion of mash bills in bourbon and Tennessee Whiskeys, as well as moonshine! Bourbon is required to be 51% or more corn, and moonshine is often 100% corn.  In your mash bill, Yellow Corn may add a sweet cereal flavor, including notes of vanilla, maple syrup, even white sugar or cotton candy. Sweetness is often balanced with other grains, such as oats or rye or wheat; and of course maturing in charred oak barrels may soften and enliven the flavor.

This is a raw agricultural product and is not intended for human consumption without processing. Laws regarding home distilling vary from state to state, always check your local restrictions and obtain proper permissions to distill if needed.
